Spicy Turkey Soup


1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

4 cloves garlic, chopped

1 medium yellow onion, chopped

1 jar Dave’s Organic Red Heirloom tomato sauce

4 cups low-sodium, gluten-free chicken broth

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon Dave’s Creamy Roasted Jalapeño Sauce

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 bay leaf

3 cups shredded cooked turkey meat (white and dark)

1 small bag white corn chips

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese



  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and onion.

  3. Cook, stirring often, 8 to 10 minutes, until onions are translucent.

  4. Stir in tomato sauce, broth, oregano, Jalapeno sauce, cumin, black pepper, bay leaf and turkey.

  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer.

  6. Simmer 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

  7. Sprinkle with cilantro and cheese.
